Jefferson Financial & Insurance Services began as a partnership between father and son in 2014. Boasting a broad range of financial expertise and insurance knowledge at the outset, Jefferson quickly established a legacy of fast service and savings for artisan contractors in California. Since then, Jefferson has expanded its vision to provide construction and aviation companies in California with a full-service, strategic approach to managing their risk and reducing insurance costs, as well as a unique renewal strategy to help businesses negotiate their premiums and receive renewals early.

After returning from his deployment in the Iraq War and finishing his Master's in Accounting and Finance, Jonathan realized a career in accounting wasn't for him. Thus, Jefferson began with a cell phone, a notebook, and one man's persistence on saving small contractors money on their various commercial lines. Since then, Jonathan has spearheaded growing the company's strategic relationships, hiring new talent, and developing the key connections needed to be able to serve our expanding base of clients among several different industries.
From auditor to independent broker, Jeff Hage is the definition of an insurance professional. With his expertise in finance and insurance, he ensures that we are able to provide our clients with cost-effective insurance solutions and the utmost quality of service. After graduating with his Bachelor's in Finance at 20 years old, Sam began his tenure at Jefferson helping contractors that were being overcharged on their workers compensation and liability insurance. Now, he equips businesses owners with the strategies they need in order to create demand around their insurance program and lower their premiums year-after-year through diligent and carefully executed negotiation. A painter, pianist, and self-described picaroon, Sam handles the day-to-day operations at Jefferson and keeps the ship on an even keel.
Practically born on the tarmac, Erik started his career in aviation as an A&P Mechanics Apprentice. After becoming a licensed insurance broker and learning the ropes from leading industry professionals, Erik made his way to Jefferson as our in-house aviation producer.
